ProPlan Pet Diets
ProPlan is Purina's premium pet food line. It is designed to provide your pet with balanced nutrition from the puppy/kitten stage throughout your pet's adult life and into their senior years. We are happy to place any orders for a specific line of ProPlan you may need and have it available for convenient pickup at the clinic.
Hill's has a wide variety of veterinary specific foods catering to certain medical needs of dogs and cats. Offering a variety of options for veterinary diets, we aim to find a diet that will suit your pet's medical needs as well as be accepted by your pet!
Royal Canin, formerly Innovative Veterinary Diets, is another line of veterinary specific food designed to meet the need of certain medical conditions. Not every pet likes the same thing, so we want to have another dietary option for our patients.
Heartgard Plus is a once a month heartworm preventative that also treats and prevents intestinal parasite infections with hookworms and roundworms. It comes in a very palatable chewey that most dogs thinks is a treat!
Heartgard Feline is a chewable tablet for cats. It is an tasty trat to give your cats every 30 days that will protect them from getting heartworms. (Yes, cats get heartworms too)
Sentinel was off the market for a while, but it is back and has added more protection for your dogs against parasites. It prevents heartworm infections, as well as controlling hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and tapeworm infections. It also controls the flea population in the environment by making the baby fleas unable to hatch out of the eggs. As the environment is where most of the fleas live, this is a great addition to a flea control plan.
Frontline Gold is a once a month topical flea and tick treatment that effectively kills adult fleas and ticks as well as inhibiting egg and larval development in the environment. It is minimally water soluble and therefore is resistant to being washed away by swimming and bathing. Frontline Gold is available in feline and canine dosings.
Revolution Feline is a monthly combination, topically-applied product. It prevents heartworm disease, kills adult fleas and prevents flea eggs from hatching. It treats and controls ear mites and some intestinal parasites (roundworms and hookworms). It is one of the easiest ways to protect your cat from heartworm disease!
Capstar is an adult flea control pill that can be used in dogs and cats. It starts killing fleas in 30 minutes and can be given every 24 hours for control of adult fleas only.
Trifexis is a 3-in-one monthly chew-tab that combines heartworm, flea, hookworm and roundworm prevention in one convenient pill. It is effective against the adult fleas only, but cannot have its effectiveness diminished by abnormal skin conditions or frequent bathings. Trifexis may only be used in dogs.
Nexgard is a once-a-month oral flea and tick preventative. Like Trifexis, its efficacy is no reduced by bathing or swimming. It has been accepted well by our patients, so the palatability seems good too! It's a great product in combination with a monthly heartworm preventative to keep your dogs parasite-free. It will control adult fleas and ticks.
Bravecto canine is an oral flea and tick preventative, similar to Nexgard, but is labeled for a duration of activity of 90 days! It controls adult fleas and ticks.
Bravecto feline is a topical flea and tick preventative for your cat. It has a duration of activity for 90 days, like its canine counter-part. It controls adult fleas and ticks...and you only have to catch your cat to apply it every 3 months! Yahoo!
